Transform the lives of women
Autonomy and empowerment of women
SUBJECT : Transforming the lives of women and girls are illiterate, abused and often afflicted by serious health problems, they make an economic and social autonomy.
CONTENT : Training the work of embroidery and sewing, literary education elementary notions of health and hygiene. At the end of training, these women from poorer backgrounds receive a sewing machine, from which they mount their own business.
RESULTS : For 18 years, 2 000 women from thirty villages have been trained. Agreements with local industries have helped to find employment for some of them, and others work at home. French
